What's your secret?

Admit it..we all have secrets hiding in our closets. Well this is mine. This is my, err, well, is suppose to be my sewing closet. Can you spot my sewing machine amongst the disaster? Needless to say I haven't been getting much sewing done lately. When I started cake decorating about a year ago, my sewing closet turned into a place to stash all of my cake stuff. You know...cake plateaus, gumpaste tools, tips, cell pads, molds, etc. Now that I'm not decorating as much and plan on stopping all together after January, it's time to tackle "the closet". This is not a task I'm looking forward to. The end results will be great, but the process will be beyond stressful and I'll give you one word to explain why. Jack. Yup, he's going to make this a challenge for me because I believe it's his goal in life to remind his mother that if I had had him first, he would be an only child!! When I'm finished with my, sure to be, migraine of a task, I'll post an after pic. So come on ...fess up. You know you have a secret like mine in your house somewhere!

haha, the last child does seem to be like that! :) Just wanted to wish you luck on your project! My scrap area is like that in intervals :) I am posting a pic today, or tomorrow ;)
he he...thanks! I'm hoping to start it today. :)
My office is a disaster. When we first moved in, it became a dropoff point for boxes that didn't really fit in other rooms and it took a long time to get those boxes out. Now, it doubles as a storage area for all my wife's scrapbooking stuff (she hasn't scrapbooked in about five years) and random boxes of pictures, mementos and some clothes of mine that don't fit anymore (clothes too big, not too small). It's gotten better - at least there aren't any paths to the computer. We had paths a lot when the boxes and other stuff were in there. I actually had it close to being cleaned... and then my MIL gave us a desk and another PC :(
My secret? Um...my entire house at the moment! It seems I need to take everything out so I can figure out where it's supposed to go or if I actually need it at all. The worst is probably my "kitchen corner", this "extra" cabinet and counter unit we put in a while back. I posted a pic atthe end of my smoothie recipe on my brand spankin' new (and already neglected!) blog!
LOL LB! Too funny! We moved into our 4 bedroom apartment exactly 1 year ago and I still have 2 boxes that aren't unpacked! When I see the chaos of my closet and upstairs hallway I feel like such a slacker. But you know, when you don't even have time to eat w/o being interupted, oraganizing seems like such a daunting task!
My hall closet... it started out right but somewhere along the way became "where to shove things". Now it's an avalanche of dog toys, light bulbs, towels, tools, extra rolls of paper towels and bottles of shampoo... just about anything. I've been eyeing it for a while but first comes my pantry =)
I've got places in my house like that. I've got a counter that is mini-version of your sewing room. Personally, I see sewing as a direct result of the fall of man. I mean, what was the first thing that Adam and Eve did after sinning? Sew their fig leaves together.
Good luck with the organizing job!
The master closet. Man, it is embarassing. But not entirely my fault. The kids like to play in there and often pull clothes down and throw shoes. Ha ha. Visiting throught SITS!!
Pam, most of my house is like that. That is why I don't have five kids. I like your blog.
